Miriam Burtoff (known as Mary back in the day) was a long-time FLOS member and orchid collector with excellent taste. Her plants won many ribbons and awards, including several chosen as the best member-grown plant on the individual table at our show. She collected many rare forms of fine plants including original divisions of awarded and stud plants from growers.

She recently donated her collection to FLOS. We sold many orchids from her collection at our 2018 auction. Most of the remaining orchids will be sold in 2019. They have been repotted, fed, treated for disease, and generally reinvigorated. We give thanks to her for the generous gift to our society.
