Jason Mackey’s fascination with orchids traces back to his childhood days spent alongside his great-grandmother, tending to her extensive collection. What began as a youthful curiosity blossomed into a serious passion in his twenties. Despite the ups and downs inherent in cultivating these exquisite plants, Jason’s devotion to orchids only deepened over the years.
Inspired by his familial ties and Floridian heritage, Jason decided to establish Barefoot Orchids. The name not only reflects his roots but also honors his great-grandmother, whose love for orchids passed down through generations, influencing both his mother and himself.
Jason will be bringing plants to sell to the meeting.
